Lower Buckeye Road
NOTICE: 67th Avenue to be closed at Lower Buckeye Road for 2 months
Drivers should plan to allow extra time and use detours as they travel around the work zone of the Lower Buckeye Road Improvement Project.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the north side of 67th Avenue will be closed at Lower Buckeye Road beginning Monday, August 15th and continuing into early October 2022.
NO traffic will be allowed to travel north on 67th Avenue from Lower Buckeye Road while crews dig under the existing roadway to relocate utilities and make changes to the roadway drainage system. Drivers will still be able to access 67th Avenue south of the intersection, as well as travel eastbound and westbound on Lower Buckeye Road during this time, but we ask that you obey all traffic control signs and slow down as you travel through the area.
SUGGESTED DETOURS:
- To travel eastbound and westbound in the area, use Buckeye Road or Broadway Road
- To travel northbound and southbound through the area, use 75th Avenue or 51st Avenue
MCDOT understands that closing this intersection will add time and extra mileage to your commute, but in the interest of safety for our crews and the public, the intersection must be closed while we do our work.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday (*Expect some overnight and weekend work. Crews will not work on holidays.)
5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
** Schedule is subject to change for reasons beyond MCDOT’s control, including: weather, equipment failure, illness or other circumstances. **
